The Philadelphia Flyers are looking to add a center to their roster ahead of next season, and the Ottawa Senators are being considered as a potential trade partner. According to sources, the Flyers have interest in Senators' centers Shane Pinto, Dylan Cozens, and Ridly Greig. Pinto and Cozens are both 25 years old and under contract until 2030, locked in at $7.5 million and $7.1 million AAVs, respectively. They are both right-shooting centers and have established themselves as top-six pivots in the NHL. The Flyers have had on-and-off trade talks with the Senators going back to the 2024-25 season, but the Senators were unwilling to move any of their pivots other than Josh Norris, who was eventually traded to the Buffalo Sabres. Pinto and Cozens both don't have trade protection next season, making them more attractive to the Flyers. The Senators have shown interest in Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen, who has one year left on his deal carrying a $5.1 million AAV. A trade involving Ristolainen could be a starting point in talks between the two teams. The Flyers are also open to moving winger Owen Tippett, who had a strong season under head coach Rick Tocchet, but they are not shopping him. If they were to trade Tippett, it would be in a 'hockey' trade, not for a collection of assets. The Flyers have considered trading Tippett for the Sabres' Bowen Byram, but are not interested at this time. The Senators' centers are highly valued by the Flyers, and a trade could be in the works soon.
